The words

 

This Journal has been scraped together from an on-line blog I kept from July 2002 to record the post-production of Lost Highways.

 

Other entries are from e-mails that flowed between the participants.

 

Some editing has occurred.

 


 

The images

These "TIMECODE" images are thumbnails automatically created as a web catalogue by CatDV.

All the "Making Of" images were captured from the source tapes onto the Sony VX2000's Memory Stick. As a result you can see interference banding on many of images (to see what I mean, look at the clouds in the photo below...)

If I had my time again, I would export them from within Final Cut Pro after applying Adam Wilt's Steppy Images filter - see my Lunchtime Cinema site for more details.

 

All the images were then adjusted in Photoshop:

The Gallery images were stills from the finished film exported from Final Cut Pro with the FE viewfinder added in Photoshop.
