A free pre-OSX program from Synthetic Aperture that produces standard video and audio test patterns. Video test patterns include SMPTE, EIA and EBU bars, luma step and ramp patterns, and convergence and overscan tests.

All can be generated in a variety of standard NTSC and PAL frame sizes, pixel aspect ratios, black and white levels, and saved in a numerous image file formats.

For audio test tones, select the frequency, level and duration you need.
