First, a Tutorial

http://www.kenstone.net/fcp_homepage/basic_pan_scan.html

Moving Picture

Working Demo Available. This is a tool for making smooth pans and zooms on hi-res stills. It is available as a standalone app or plug-in. Very easy to use, and the camera moves have lovely realistic blurring & stop & start momentum - just like a "live" camera. Impressive. Now if only Apple would buy 'em for FCP4 FCP5...

FXScript DVE's Scroll/Roll Title

Do you already have it?It comes from CGM, and was bundled with FCP3 - check out FXScript DVE's Scroll/Roll Title tool (make sure you get the upgraded version from the CGM site which includes a scale function).

To quote the Mighty Tom Wolsky:

...This seems to compensate best for the inability of scale to acts as a proper zoom. Also another advantage of it is that it allows you control the bezier handles for vertical and horizontal position as well as scale all within the keyframe graph. By expanding the graph window you get much better control handle control. Watch out for the keyframe graph bug that sometimes shoots the bezier handle out into infinity...
